چکیده
We study behavior in a simplified representation of an organization with high task interdependence. The production process involves three stages such that output earlier is the necessary input for subsequent stages. Work at easier than later and product only final if it goes successfully through highest stage. compare effects on performance payment scheme which profits are equally shared by all those involved one where participation strongly increasing comparison made two ways assigning individuals to stage: randomly or merit. find initially there no difference organization’s profit between sharing schemes, but over time increase more equal scheme. Changes can be explained changes time. After participants have gained experience tasks, has positive both lowest There minor differences results depending whether exogenously imposed chosen person

متن کاملBidding in first-price and second-price interdependent-values auctions: A laboratory experiment∗
We report a laboratory experiment on first-price and second-price auctions in settings with independent signals and interdependent values. The environment includes independent private values and the common-value “wallet game” as limiting cases. We manipulate the degree of interdependence of values across sessions, while maintaining the same Bayes-Nash equilibrium bidding function. In contrast, ...

When educational policy is supplemented by a redistributive income tax, and when individuals differ in their ability to benefit from education, the optimal policy is typically rather regressive. Resources are concentrated on the most able individuals in order to get a "cake" as big as possible to share among individuals through income taxation. In this paper we put forward another reason to pus...
